Room available!

Monday, July 14th, 2008

I am a current post-bac living in a second home that my Parents recently purchased. They would like to rent out another room in the house to another male post-bac. The house is 4-5 miles away from campus, I bike it every morning and it is not that bad. 1224 Remington Road, Wynnewood PA 19096. The room is pretty big, with a large closet. It does not have its own bathroom but there are 3.5 bathrooms to choose from in the house and I am the only other person living in the house right now. The room would be partially furnished with a bed, and maybe a desk and bookshelf if you need it. Rent would be 400$ a month.

Contact me if interested. 214-228-9504 cell or mjfbyr@yahoo.com

Oh yea, and comcast cable TV, Internet, and Phone is included.

Fall roommates

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Hi Post Baccers!

My name is Angi, and I’m a recent grad of Tufts University. I’m starting the program in the fall and am looking for housing and roommates. I’d love to live close to campus, as I won’t have a car, and I’m clean, easy-going, and have experience living with other young people. I definitely understand flexibility and the importance of compromise and compatibility when living with others.

I’m a double major in Community Health and International Relations, and am interested in global and immigrant health in particular. I was born in Seoul, South Korea but grew up in Northern New Jersey. I spent a semester studying abroad in Madrid, Spain and many summers in Korea. I have a lot of different interests - I love eating, traveling, good music and crafts, trying new things, theater, public health, movies. I’ve done some acting at Tufts and am part of a sketch comedy group. I like to laugh and am fun! (woo!) :)

Please contact me if you want to chat or are also looking for roommates  - angikang@gmail.com

Roommates! (fall move-in)

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Hi Everyone! My name is Mandy and I’m looking for a roommate(s) too. I will be graduating from Northwestern University this June and will be going home to Austin, TX for the summer… so I’m hoping to move into an apartment/house in Bryn Mawr in the fall. I don’t plan on having a car at school, so I’d like to live within walking distance of campus. I’m up for living in an apartment with just a couple of people or getting a group together for a house in the area (Bryn Mawr housing regulations…? confusing…). I’m a clean, easy-going, non-smoking roommate… Definitely know how to do my own dishes, but if you leave a cup in the sink, I’ve got you covered! )

As for me, I’m studying history at NU, curate the on-campus art gallery and am getting in as much friend-time as I can before graduation. If you want to try to figure out some housing or just want to say hi, my email’s amanda.klearman@gmail.com.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Howdy

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

Howdy. My name is Evan, and I’m looking for some folks to share a place with. I graduated in 2005 from Columbia, where I studied classics and art history. Then I joined the Peace Corps, and spent the last two years working in Senegal as an agroforestry volunteer. Since my return in November I’ve been killing time before school starts hanging out and working in central oregon. I don’t start the program until the fall, so I probably won’t be moving in anywhere until august. I’m really easygoing and clean, and I love the outdoors. Thanks. evan.lowy@gmail.com

My name is Avni Shah and I am also looking for a roommate or two (I am a female, but I don’t mind who I live with). I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2007, and been doing some research in healthcare marketing, traveling a bit, and I started up a DJ business for fun with a friend (yes, random I know). I am starting the program in May. And now for the personal ad: I am neat, a non-smoker, I rock at doing dishes, love my Earl Grey tea in the morning, and I am really easygoing. Let me know if you would be interested, my email is Avni.M.Shah@gmail.com.

Hi Team Bryn Mawr,

My name is David. I went to the University of Michigan (’07) and currently am in grad school in London. I too would like to live with at least one other person (apartment/house), but I won’t be starting the program until the fall semester. I don’t smoke, am neat [but not overly so], and, alas, have no hilariously cute pets to persuade you to live with me. My email is daflood@gmail.com.

Best wishes!

Hi, I’m Molly and also looking for roommates! I am 23, graduated from Princeton (’06), majored in Civil Engineering, and was on the crew team. I spent the following year in Kenya on a fellowship and am now in NYC working in finance. I am fairly relaxed and neat but not in a compulsive way (though after a year w/ no dishwasher I am great at doing dishes). Email me at fay.molly@gmail.com if you are also looking for roommates or just curious to learn more about me. -molly

Roommates

Hey. My name is Yona and I, too, am looking to share an apartment/house with one (or more) people starting this summer. (I’m a girl, but I’m happy to live with anyone.) I graduated from UPenn in 2006 with a degree in English, and I’ve been writing in NYC/E. Africa since. I think it would be most important to say that I’m clean(ish), a non-smoker, and the owner of a fantastically hoarse dachshund who will be making the move to PA with me. (She likes other dogs, and is unambiguously well-mannered.) Ummm, please e-mail me at yona.silverman@gmail.com if you’re on a similar hunt. Thanks.
